Water Lubricated Screw Compressor
Corac Group plc is working with Taiwanese company Fu Sheng under a Joint Development Agreement to couple its 50kW high speed spool to a water injected screw compressor.
The compact, highly efficient 2 stage machine gives an 18% efficiency improvement and is targeted at the 120-300kW product range. The hybrid patented technology provides a simple and fully variable “No-Oil” compressor in a package occupying around 30% of the floor space of an equivalent dry screw machine.
Two turbo boosting machines are operating 24/7, providing 18% efficiency gains against equivalent competitive systems.
Further orders are anticipated in 2009.
