Corac Group plc is applying its gas bearing and high speed motor drive technology to the manufacture of plastic fizzy drinks bottles. Corac Group plc's air compressor technology supercharges the exisiting compressor system.
This highly efficient system can operate at high speed to meet demand. Unlike many competing systems, it can also maintain efficiency when running at low production during the winter months.
Corac Group plc's technology is being used by Austrian company Leobersdorfer Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG ('LMF').
LMF have trialled Corac Group plc's Industrial Air compressors for the last two years and as a result of these successful trials, have placed an order in December 2008 for a further four pre-production industrial air machines. These will supercharge LMF's piston compressors used in high pressure applications.
A machine has also been operating in a major international food and beverage company.
