ind air news Corac have received an order from Austria's LMF for two turbo-compressors based on its 150KW Gamma machine.  The Gamma is a two stage "No-Oil" high speed centrifugal compressor which is being used by LMF to replace the large first stage of its 3 stage reciprocating compressor system used in the PET bottle blowing process (plastic fizzy drinks bottle manufacture).  Corac's turbo-compressor solution offers LMF a wider operating range for their product at greatly reduced noise and package size and with increased energy efficiency.  The first machine supplied by Corac is running in a live bottling plant as a field trial for this revolutionary technology.  Data from the site is monitored online by Corac's engineers through an internet link.

LMF are leaders in the supply of high pressure reciprocating compressors for specialist applications such as PET bottle blowing and seismic systems.

Plans are now being developed for the supply of pre-production machines.
