Notification of a change in the interests of Directors 

The Company announces the following changes to the interests of Directors in the Company's ordinary shares of 10p each ("Shares").
 
On 27 December 2007, the Company granted options over Shares to the Directors named below:
 
Prof. Gerry Musgrave, Chairman of the Company - 350,000 options over Shares under the Company's unapproved scheme;
 
Julian Reed, Engineering Director of the Company - 200,000 options over Shares under the Company's unapproved scheme.
 
The above awards are exercisable at a price of 51.5 pence, between 27 December 2008 and 27 December 2015, subject to the satisfaction of certain performance conditions.
 
After these grants, these directors had an interest in the following number of Shares:
 
Prof. Gerry Musgrave - 1,670,530 ordinary shares representing 1.94% of the Company's issued share capital and 2,193,334 options over the Company's shares.
 
Julian Reed - 13,300 ordinary shares representing 0.02% of the Company's issued share capital and 911,668 options over the Company's shares.
